SWIR infrared lens fixed focus

Because of the atmospheric absorption, only in certain region of the infrared spectrum, light can go through the air and be used in infrared applications. The infrared light in the 1µm to3µm spectral region, so called Short-Wave Infrared (SWIR), is one of them. Light in SWIR spectrum is not visible to human eyes, but it still interacts with objects. So in SWIR imaging applications, we can capture images of objects and see aspects that we couldn’t see in the visual range.

Short-Wave Infrared lens is a very important component in the SWIR imaging system. It plays the same role as human eyes. Without good SWIR lens, you would not have clear vision in your system. SWIR lens can be used to look through water, plastic, silicon and organic compounds. Offering unique imaging advantages over visible and other thermal bands, it is earning a growing place in industrial machine vision for material/food sorting, electronic board inspection, wafer inspection, quality inspection, and in military applications.

Besides standard high efficient AR coating, we can also make DLC coating or HD coating on the outer surface to protect the lens from environmental damage such as wind and sand, high humidity, salty fog and etc.
