Rear mirrors feature ultra-high reflectivity (>99.7%) and serve as critical optical components within laser resonators. The output coupler is a partial reflector designed to extract a portion of the laser beam out of the laser resonator. These optics are often slightly tilted to avoid interference caused by multiple internal reflections inside the component. Rear mirrors and output couplers are collectively referred to as laser cavity mirrors.
