Ultraviolet lens uses light from the ultraviolet (UV) spectrum. Only near UV is of interest for UV photography, for several reasons. Ordinary air is opaque to wavelengths below about 200 nm, and lens glass is opaque below about 180 nm.

Our UV lens is designed for imaging applications in 190-365nm light spectrum. Additional applications include forensic, pharmaceutical, or biomedical imaging, fluorescence, security, or counterfeit detection.
